Every town has its heroes. What — and who — makes a hero in your eyes? Solano County — from Vallejo to Vacaville and beyond — is filled with heroes of all kinds, from the anonymous and the unsung to the standouts so many of us can recognize. We think it's past time more of these 'heroes' get their due. The Vallejo Times-Herald and Vacaville Reporter, in a joint project with a dozen other Northern California newspapers that are part of the California Newspaper Partnership, are asking readers to nominate candidates for our first 'Solano County Hero' feature.
