VACAVILLE — Clint Birch, Vacaville High School's most decorated head coach in any sport, has stepped down as the co-head coach of Vacaville High School's wrestling team. He led the team for 17 years. Birch leaves behind a legacy of excellence likely unrivaled in Vacaville High athletic history. 'For me, he will absolutely go down as one of the greatest coaches in the history of our school,' Principal Adam Wight said. 'His record is undeniable.' Birch, a 1988 graduate of Vacaville High School, returned to his alma mater and home district when he accepted a teaching position at Willis Jepson Middle School in 1993.
