The City of Vacaville has partnered with JAPA Inc. to create a smartphone application that allows users to locate parking availability downtown. The real-time parking availability information is for both on-street and municipal parking. The mobile app shows users where parking is available and navigates them to the open space. Small pucks that detect the presence of a vehicle were installed by contractors last month. The system was installed based on feedback from residents and merchants regarding downtown parking.
